Bob's average age
Bob used to be a fairly common name. Now I can't think of a Bob I know, or know of, who's under 70 years of age. Same with Brians. Roberts these days are all Rob or Robbie. Brians are extinct.

I'm quite happy to be called "Bob". Not my real name, but anything to keep punctuation minor happy floats my boat.

Re: Bob's average age
I’m 53.

I feel too young to be called Bob, too old to be called Bobby and prefer Rob anyway.

Although I do get called Robert when I’m naughty or forgetful.

Re: Bob's average age
Probably to the point

The Bobs I can think of are an old boss and the father of an old girlfriend/my wife's old roomate (His daughter calls him Bob but she dated me and is a bit weird). Both happen to live close but 60+

Brian was one my best friends in junior high.
